Turtles aren’t particularly quick to begin with, but when an African tortoise named Gamara had his front leg amputated after an injury, it really slowed him down. Thankfully, some caring and innovative veterinarians at Washington State University arrived at a crafty solution, gluing (as opposed to drilling, which would be both cruel and painful!) a swivel wheel to the underside of his shell.
